I love pc games, but u Pc gamers are hypocrites
First, everyones posting a link that leads how xbox 360 buyers camped for like 20+ hours, and how some of the xboxes were defected, and also how some ppl stomped on eachother to get one. Well, I agree thats crazy but u "PC Gamers" are taking this WAY too seriously. My evidence-
If there was a labtop/Desktop computer, latest in technology for a cheap price that would be sold everywhere like a console and it was hyped up for weeks now, also in magazines, i know all of u would go to ur local walmart/bestbuy/gamestop/etc for the midnight sale - if there is one - and do the same.

... c'mon - the truth is that any one of us would be happy to own an XBOX 360 no matter how buggy it is - So what, if we didn't spend 20 hrs in line to sniff Mr. Gates' droppings - we're still jealous and this is the only way we can feel better about ourselves. So please don't rain on our parade.
BTW - it took me a while to figure out your avatar. At a glance I thought it was a turd ... then I thought it was a boob or a condom with the reservior tip ... now it looks like that might be a face on top - so I'm guessing it's either a Sumo Wrestler or a depiction of Gaia.

Well as a PC Gamer Dood....the OP is correct about the fact even PC people will get something on first release.
I got CIV4 the day it was released like many, many others did as well. THEE most buggy game I have ever seen. A month later they finally release a patch....and it is buggy too...
That is the weakness of a PC.....buggy damn programs. The publishers now release games as if they are still Beta....well I believe they are still Beta and they expect the public to find all the bugs. The Publisher scams all your dough for the game(usually $50.00) and they get to Bank it. Meanwhile while we are all trying our own home-brew fixes....they have our money and take their sweet time releasing a patch. I do not Trust Take2 Games anymmore...that is for sure.

Actually I don't do that....I have in the past...but then I always buy the game afterwards....Cracks are nice really for not having to use the disk....I like just running off the hard drive and stop the darn spinning sound.

Frenzy, GW, FPS, PC, and Pirates kthxbye
Honestly, whenever there is a release of something as hyped up as a new gaming system, the hardcore gamers will be camping (It's a given)

I love how people do that, then run their message through a spell check so they can try to "get away." Fricken' hillarious.

thats not true at all. im a pc gamer, sure. but i dont know the smallest thing about computers, nor do i care. i have a standard dell with 750 megahertz and whatever video card came with it. it does everything that i need it to and i love it. i dont know if ill ever need to get a new one, even if its somehow better or cheap. so i dont think you need to relate gamers with computers. not too hypocritical i dont think.

The difference is that PCs (and PC games) will run differently for everyone, it's just the way it is. Developers of PCs and their games have to make games run for lots of different sorts of systems, and there will always be bugs for them. However, bugs for PC games can be fixed with a quick patch, or the removal of a few files. It's rare that you have to go back and buy the whole new system. If a CONSOLE is crashing right in the middle of doing just about the only thing it's supposed to do, there's a problem. Because it's not as simple as "download patch, fix!" like with PCs. Hell I bought Doom 3 the first day it came out, it had a bug or two, but they were fixed within a week with no trouble at all on my part, whereas XBox 360 buyers are pretty well RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed for a while.

I find PCs the most convenient. You can do a lot of things at once in a very small space. I play windowed games while doing homework sometimes in my really-cramped dorm. It's a good space-saver.
Plus I find that PCs are a lot more cost-effective to upgrade. I just can't see myself buying a system that might or might not have the kinds of games I like. With PCs, it's the opposite. I have the system, and wait to buy games that I like.
Bugs are definitely annoying, but if you're knowledgable enough about the way computers work, you can pretty much guarantee a smooth-running experience.
My 2 cents

I don't particularly find game consoles all that appealing. The XBOX360 shouldn't be compared to a full blown desktop gaming PC, even if its guts are pc-component based, simply because you can't do nearly as much with it as a desktop computer.
Heck, shuttle boxes are now being produced with dual-SLI...
